Wrapped EverGreenCoin (wEGC)
EverGreenCoin is very proud to announce, we now have a bridge for wrapping and unwrapping EverGreenCoin.
EverGreenCoin is very proud to announce, we now have a bridge for wrapping and unwrapping EverGreenCoin on the Binance Smart Chain (BSC) as a BEP20 token, "Wrapped EverGreenCoin," or wEGC!
Think of a wEGC token as an IOU ("I owe you") that is good for an EGC native coin on our own native EverGreenCoin blockchain.
EGC can be wrapped into wEGC on the Binance Smart Chain blockchain, and conversely wEGC can be unwrapped back to EGC on our native EverGreenCoin blockchain.
Because wEGC exists on the Binance Smart Chain, it can easily be sent and received across that much bigger and more robust Binance Smart Chain blockchain and all the many, many services that support it.
Wrapping EGC into wEGC does not cost a fee, but a minimum (currently 388 EGC) is needed to prevent spamming of the bridge with tiny transactions.
Unwrapping and sending wEGC does have a small BNB (Binance Coin) fee. In our initial testing, fees were 10 cents USD or less (<= $ 0.10) worth of BNB, about 0.00025 BNB. Over 50k EGC have already been wrapped.
The contract address for adding wEGC (BEP20) to any Binance Smart Chain service is 0xb3a2f1814ed0e68c9e6b4ef4b67acb78f4e60c0a
This opens a world of possibilities for wallets, such as Binance Chain Wallet, MetaMask, Trust Wallet, MathWallet, and even SafePal hardware wallets.
This also opens a world of possibilities for services and exchanges, such as YieldFields.finance DEX, other BSC DEXs (Decentralized EXchanges) such as PancakeSwap, and all the tools they offer.
