Telestai - The Future Of Decentralise Social Media
Embracing web3 for Decentralised Social Media

It is clear that in the current geopolitical climate that decentralised social media is needed. People now rely on social media platforms to spread news, alert others to important events and challenge main stream narratives that perpetuate falsehoods and half-truths. The problem? Social media platforms are controlled by centralised entities who censor content to fit their agenda. Videos on Youtube, Tiktok and Instagram are ratio’d and demoted if they use words that are flagged by the platform as harmful or speak on ‘taboo’ subjects. Algorithms drive what you see and often creators are punished or run off the platform if the content they produce doesn’t fit what the centralised entity wants. Users are banned for speaking the truth and on platforms like X and Facebook they are ratio’d and shadow banned to punish their disobedience. What’s more, is remuneration policies are virtually impossible to achieve and the platforms pillage your metadata to sell to advertisers - and you get nothing in return. This is a huge problem needing a solution.Introducing - Telestai: a decentralised, censorship resistant and privacy focussed social media ecosystem. This ecosystem will is built on a Proof-of-Work Layer 1 that utilises the unique Meraki algorithm; a lightweight but ASIC resistant consensus so everyone can both participate and earn their native $TLS. There are three key parts to the ecosystem that are being built:
- Lascaux - our primary social media platform that will allow short form, long form and multimedia content to be produced.
- Zeroa - the digital fingerprint using BIP-39 (aka 12 seed) security to ensure seamless, web3 log in and user verification
- Mercatus - providing users the chance to sell their own meta-data and earn $TLS rewards (opt in only)
